What started as a small cough turned into a life-changing discovery for Bernadette Lemke. The scan revealed lung cancer, but because it was caught early, Bernadette was able to undergo surgery and avoid chemotherapy or radiation. 💪After a successful surgery with Richard Chang, MD, lung cancer surgeon and Chief of Thoracic Surgery with Lehigh Valley Institute for Surgical Excellence at LVH–Cedar Crest, Bernadette received top-notch care from a compassionate team of doctors and nurses at LVHN. “Every doctor I encountered cared about me deeply as a patient,” she recalls. “The nurses in the hospital were great.
